…because bunso also has pierced ears now. We had hers done earlier than her Ate Mischa did (who was about seven months or so then). Because of her sharper features and very little hair, she has been mistaken for a boy before. But now, no one would.
The whole process was easier now than with Mischa before even though it was only the pediatrician’s office assistants who did it. I was a little anxious at first because I knew Maxine cries more easily than Mischa. But they put on a little Lidocaine on her lobes, which they let stand for about 20 minutes. When it was time to do the deed, her dad and one of the assistants restrained her while the other did the piercing. She just give a little surprised yell, which didn’t last for long. The other ear was a piece of cake.
Can’t wait for the time I can put on more blings on her 🙂
It reddened a bit and I was told to give her paracetamol if it looks like she is bothered by the earrings (or if it looks like she’s in pain). But surprise, surprise, she gave no indication like she had something new in her body. We even dropped by the office afterwards so mommy can get a little work done. Then went to the mall to give in to Ate’s requests (off-topic: the carousel is still her favorite). Just have to post this:
